In the first quarter of 2023, the top health and fitness apps on the Android platform in the United States displayed diverse performance trends. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for the top 5 applications according to Sensor Tower data.

Blood Pressure App saw a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, starting with approximately 154K downloads in late December 2022 and hitting a low of around 73K by the end of January. Downloads picked up again in mid-February, peaking at about 136K. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting at roughly 211K and experiencing a peak of 218K by late February.

Planet Fitness Workouts maintained a relatively stable weekly revenue, hovering around $1.2K to $1.5K throughout the quarter. Downloads started strong at nearly 74K in late December, peaking at just under 100K in early January before gradually declining to around 54K by the end of March. The app’s active users showed a steady increase from about 1.07M to a peak of 1.29M in early March, followed by a slight decline to approximately 1.16M by the end of March.

Calm - Sleep, Meditate, Relax experienced a robust revenue stream, starting at $116K and reaching up to $183K by mid-March. Lastly, Blood Pressure showed a dramatic surge in downloads, starting from a modest 3K in late December to a peak of approximately 209K in late January. Active users reflected this surge, starting at about 1.8K and peaking at 236K in late January, then gradually declining to around 52K by the end of March.
